KUWAIT, Dec 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has signed several contracts with some countries on the sidelines of the 10th ICAO Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN2017), the DGCA said Wednesday.
During the annual ICAO event, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, December 4-8, DGCA's President Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and Sri Lankan Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala also discussed bolstering bilateral cooperation in the industry, a statement added.
In addition, the Kuwaiti delegation, led by Sheikh Salman, held several bilateral meetings with representatives of other countries attending the conference.
The talks led to signing, and updating, agreements and MoUs with Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Nigeria and the Sultanate of Oman.
ICAN offers a forum for participants to learn about current trends in air services, and to discuss and exchange expertise, as well as providing excellent networking opportunities.
ICAN2017 offered industry stakeholders opportunities for business to business (B2B) meetings and networking with both other business stakeholders or community members, but also aviation regulators and air service negotiators participating in the event. (end) aam.ht.msa
