KUWAIT, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- The Arab Media Forum honored on Tuesday the 2017 creative advertisement award winners that was co-organized by the forum, Kuwait's Ministry of Information, Kuwait Media Association and International Advertising Association (IAA).
In a ceremony honoring the winners, Madhi al-Khamis, secretary general of the forum, said the event comes to highlight efforts by the Kuwaiti advertising and producing institutions and companies, with the aim of encouraging them to develop this key industry.
The award's arbitration committee picks up the best commercials which promote values and positive behavior in the society, he added.
Meanwhile, Waleed Kanafani, head of IAA, stressed the importance of such events in developing advertisement industry, indicating that the partnership between the forum and the IAA contributes to achieving this goal.
During this year, the association has made several achievements, mainly bringing together all students of information colleges across Kuwait around one table to discuss means to upgrade the future of marketing and public relations, he made clear.
For his part, Osama Munir, an arbiter, affirmed the necessity of creativity in the idea of advertisement and its message, noting that the committee includes a host of academics, media people and executive directors in this field.
The winners included the National Bank of Kuwait's TV advertisement, KIPCO, Kuwait Finance House, Boubyan Bank, Zain, Gulf Bank, Zain telecom company, Waraba Insurance Company, Dar Al-Tayyeb, Dukkan Bazzah, Ooredoo telecom company, Gulf insurance company, ABYAT and Kuwait Airways and Kuwait TV.
