Palestinian PM says inflammatory decisions will not be heeded

RAMALLAH, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah on Tuesday slammed a US decision recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, saying that such measures that tamper with the holy city's status quo would be ignored.
Addressing a government meeting, Hamdallah vowed that Palestinians would continue to fight with undiminished zeal and spirit until their aspirations of statehood come to fruition.
He went on to describe US President's Donald Trump's decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem and recognize the city as the capital of Israel as a dark chapter in the history of the region.
The US president's decision has sparked wide-scale condemnations and rejection from the international community. (end) nk.nam
