KUWAIT, Dec 9 (KUNA)

1971 -- Scholar Mershed Mohammad Al-Suleiman passed away. He was owner of a private school that bore his name. He had served for 30 years at the school before closing it in 1956.
1982 -- An explosion rocked Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) office in Athens, causing some damage.
1999 -- Kuwait and El-Salvador agreed on establishing diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level. The agreement was signed at the United Nations headquarters.
2000 -- The Arab Gulf Program for the United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND) chose Kuwait to host headquarters of the Arab Open University. The university was accredited by all ministries of higher education in Arab countries.
2003 -- The State of Kuwait endorsed the UN Convention against Corruption held in the Mexican city of Merida.
2003 -- The State of Kuwait signed a United Nations Agreement to Fight Corruption.
2013 -- The criminal Court acquitted defendants accused of force entering into the National Assembly. (end) mb
