MANAMA, Dec 8 (KUNA) -- Bahrain football association said Friday the national team would participate in the 23th Gulf Cup that would be held in Kuwait later this month.
The association, in a statement cited by Bahrain news agency, commended His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his leading role in lifting the FIFA ban on Kuwait football.
It added that Bahrain football team would participate in the Gulf Cup, due between December 22 and January 5. (end)
