Three killed, 15 hurt in Arizona school shooting

WASHINGTON, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- At least three people were reportedly killed and 15 others wounded Thursday in an apparent school schooling in New Mexico.
Local authorities reported Aztec High School was on lock down and students were being evacuated following a shooting. Those killed included two students and the gunman, according to media reports. It is not yet clear whether or not the gunman was also a student at the school.
The school, with about 1,000 students, is located in Aztec, a small town in northwest New Mexico near the Colorado border, about three hours from Albuquerque.
The shooting occurs less than a week before the five year anniversary of the grisly Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, the deadliest school shooting in US history, in which a man killed 20 children and six staff members. (end) hy.ibi
