PAS vows to continue work for lifting ban on other sports activities

KUWAIT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Public Authority for Sport's Acting Director General Humoud Al-Fuleiteh has vowed to work hard to lift the international suspension on the remaining sports activities in Kuwait.
In statement today on the sidelines of FIFA President Gianni Infantino's visit to Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium, Al-Fuleiteh said that Kuwait would resume negotiations with the International Olympic Committee to achieve this goal.
Infantino arrived in Kuwait earlier today to deliver the letter of lifting ban on Kuwait's football to state's officials.
PAS chief commended the efforts of the government, the PAS and the parliament as well as friends all over the world to lift the football ban.
For his part, Chairman of Kuwait Football Association Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah congratulated the Kuwaiti, people, youth and sports people on lifting the suspension on football, considering this move as an achievement of sports street in Kuwait.
In a press statement, he thanked the political leadership for its continued support, which had a great impact on Kuwait's return to international competitions.
He called on all people to work together in order to promote Kuwait's position among nations and countries across the globe at all international sports championships. (end) fr.jk.hm
