Kuwaiti Oil Min. to lead delegation to 99th OAPEC meeting

KUWAIT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait has announced that its minister of oil Essam Al-Marzouq will be heading the Kuwaiti delegation to the 99th meeting of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) 99th meeting on Sunday.
Al-Marzouq will also be representing Kuwait as OAPEC marks its 50th anniversary in celebrations sponsored by His Highness the Prime Minister on Saturday, read a statement by Kuwait's Ministry of Oil.
As for the meeting's agenda, the statement revealed that OAPEC will unveil its estimated budget and audit for the year 2018, in addition to discussions over current happenings in the oil industry.
Meanwhile, the statement added that preparations are well in place for the forthcoming 11th Arab Energy Conference, while the ministers will also examine some of OAPEC's recent activities.
The OAPEC meeting comes as the Kuwait-based regional bloc celebrates its golden jubilee five decades after its inception in 1968, the statement pointed out. (end) asj.nam
