Next GCC summit to be held in Riyadh - Omani Min.

MUSCAT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- The next Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit will be for the Sultnate of Oman, but will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi said on Wednesday.
In a statement to the Oman News Agency (ONA), bin Alawi added that as per the mechanisms of the 37th GCC Summit in Bahrain, and the additional measures, the summit will be held in the headquarters country, Saudi Arabia. It may also be chaired by the head of the country as well. The next summit will be the first time to apply this procedure, he noted.
The minister pointed out that whatever of the next Summit will be chaired by the leader of the head of the host country.
The ministerial, meetings and other sub-meetings will be chaired by the state that has the turn as scheduled. An agreement should be reached whether to host such meetings at the headquarters country, or outside it. (end) ahr.mm.msa
