KUWAIT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Samih Hayat discussed on Wednesday with Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong, ways in boosting relations and partnership between the two countries as well as issues of common concern.
The remarks came during a meeting at the Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing.
Hayat also discussed ways to boost economic, investment, trade, defense, academic, cultural and energy ties in addition to enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields, a statement by Kuwait embassy said.
They also tackled the latest regional and international developments, the statement added.
The two also discussed a draft of memorandum of understanding on the executive mechanism of bilateral cooperation under the chairmanship of the deputy foreign ministers in both countries, to activate the general trend of relations and follow up the implementation of the agreements and discussed the proposal to hold the first meeting between the two sides in Kuwait during the first quarter of next year.
The meeting was attended by, the Deputy Director General of West Asia and North Africa and a number of senior officials from the Chinese Foreign Ministry as well as Advisor Adel Al-Salhat, Third Secretary Faisal Al-Adwani and Third Secretary Omar Al-Duwaisan from the Kuwaiti Embassy in Beijing.
