US Supreme Court allows enforcement of Trump travel ban

WASHINGTON, Dec 4 (KUNA) -- The Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of full enforcement of the Trump administration's controversial travel ban that blocks the entry into the United States of citizens from six majority Muslims countries.
The Court ruled on the third iteration of President Donald Trump's' executive order that sought to limit travel to the US for travelers from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen, citing national security concerns.
The order overrides a compromise the court reached in June when they allowed an earlier, tamer version of the travel ban to take effect but exempted foreign nationals who had "bona fide" connections to the US.
Even individuals with relatives living in the US are no longer exempted from the ban. (end) hy.gb
