KWUAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- The Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) Russell has announced a primary guidance list of annexing nine Kuwaiti companies.
The selected companies have met the criteria of joining FTSE according to the closing of September 28, 2017, Kuwait's Capital Markets Authority (CMA) said on Boursa Kuwait Company website on Sunday.
The companies include Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Zain Telecommunications Company and Agility Logistics Company, all with huge capitals, CMA noted.
They also include Boubyan Bank with medium-size capital, Mezzan Holding Company, Warba Bank, Kuwait International Bank, National Industries Company, Al-Imtiaz Investment Company; all with small-size capitals, CMA added.
FTSE Russel will announce by March 2018 an updated guidance list for the Kuwaiti companies, using their Thursday December 28, 2017 closings.
On September 29, Chairman of CMA Board of Commissioners Nayyef Al-Hajraf had announced promoting Boursa Kuwait to an emerging market by FTSE.
This promotion was a result of tremendous efforts led by CMA in cooperation with Kuwait Clearing Company K.S.C. and Boursa Kuwait Company, he affirmed. (end) mka.lb
