OIC condemns attack at agriculture hostel in Pakistan

JEDDAH, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the horrendous terrorist attack at the student hostel of the Directorate of Agriculture Extension in the city of Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, which resulted in the death of nine people, including students, and injuring dozens other.
In a statement, OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen expressed his shock and dismay at the horrific attack and has expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of Pakistan.
He further stated that the perpetrators and supporters of these shocking crimes have definitely no place among Muslims.
While reiterating the OIC's support to Pakistan in fighting extremism and terrorism, the Secretary General commended the efforts of the Pakistani authorities in the fight against terrorism and the resolve and perseverance of the Pakistani nation, the statement added. (end) nh.mb
