US "strongly condemns" deadly attack at Pakistan institute

WASHINGTON, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- The US strongly condemned attack on the Peshawar Agriculture Training Institute in Pakistan, which occurred last night and resulted in killing nine people and injuring 35 others, the State Department said.
"We offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack," said a statement released by department spokeswoman Heather Nauert on Friday.
"We stand with the people and government of Pakistan, and we will continue to work with our partners in Pakistan and across the region to combat the threat of terrorism." The attack in northwest Pakistan killed 12 people, including students, and wounded 35 others, police and rescue officials said. (end) rm.mb
