UN warns North Korea over ballistic missile tests

NEW YORK, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- The United Nations warned on Thursday North Korea from taking further destabilizing actions, in response to North Korea recent long-range missile testing.
UN Under-Secretary-General Jeffrey Feltman said during a UN Security Council meeting that he met with North Korean ambassador to the United Nations Ja Song Nam to discuss Pyongyang's recent intercontinental ballistic missile test.
Feltman added that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urges North Korea from taking any further destabilizing actions.
On Tuesday night, North Korea confirmed it had tested a Hwasong-15 ballistic missile.
The ICBM which flew 950 kilometers (590 miles) and reached an altitude of 4,475 kilometers.
The flight lasted for 53 minutes, after which the missile fell into the Sea of Japan.
After the launch, Pyongyang announced through state TV that the missile was capable of reaching targets throughout the United States. (end) asf.mb
