Turkey, France underline importance Syrian territorial unity

ANKARA, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Turkish and French President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emmanuel Macron, underlined Saturday importance of unity of the Syrian territories, and to prevent terrorists from gaining grounds.
Erdogan and Macron, during their phone conversation, said terrorists like so-called Islamic State (IS) should not be allowed to regain control of areas that were liberated in Syria, Anadolu news agency quoted sources at the presidency as saying.
The two leaders, who discussed outcome of a trilateral summit between Russian, Iranian and Turkish presidents in Sochi, called for holding free and fair UN-supervised inclusive elections in Syria.
The Turkish and French presidents also discussed economic, energy and defense industries cooperation. (end) rs.bs
