Mayors from Catalonia to visit Brussels

BRUSSELS, Nov 6 (KUNA) -- Two hundred mayors from municipalities in Catalonia will be here tomorrow Tuesday to provide "first-hand information" about the situation in the region since the Spanish Government enacted article 155 of the constitution revoking Catalan autonomy.
The mayors will meet with a number of Members of the European Parliament while they are in Brussels, Belgian media reported Monday.
In a related development, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel will address the Belgian parliament's foreign affairs committee on Wednesday about Belgium's stance on the issue of Catalonia. The Parliament of the Flemish region in Belgium will also debate Catalonia on Wednesday also. (end) nk.gb
