1962 -- Al-Arabi Sports Club was founded.
1984 -- Eminent Kuwaiti poet, Abdullah Al-Senan, passed away at 67.
1990 -- Syrian troops arrived in the Saudi port of Yanbu to join coalition forces for liberating Kuwait.
1998 -- Kuwait won the first prize of Arab housing ministers' council on the Al-Nuaim housing project in Al-Jahra which included 2,592 houses.
2000 -- Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) officially inaugurated its student council.
2001 -- The State of Kuwait was elected member of the executive bureau of the Arab Housing Ministers' Council during its 18th ministerial session held in Cairo.
2002 -- The World Health Organization (WHO) chose Dr. Buthayna Al-Mudhaf as its representative at an international conference on healthcare quality.
2008 -- NATO vessels docked at Shuwaik seaport as part of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI). The ships were in Kuwait for a six-day maritime military exercise. (end) rk
