PARIS, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova lauded Friday Kuwaiti contributions to the organization, saying that His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was a figure keen on development of education and culture worldwide.
Bokova's statement came during her meeting with Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares.
Kuwait's Ambassador to France Samie Al-Suleiman, envoy to UNESCO Dr. Meshal Hayat, and other Kuwaiti officials attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, Minister Al-Fares also met with French Jean-Michel Blanquer, French Minister of National Education, discussing with him wasy to bolster cooperation with the educational and cultural domains.
Ambassador of Kuwait to France Samie Al-Suleiman and a number of Kuwaiti officials attended the meeting. (end) gta
