NEW YORK, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait is keen on training youth to represent the country at the UN, said a Kuwaiti diplomat Wednesday.
During a meeting on administration and budget affairs held as part of the UN 72nd General Assembly, member of the Kuwaiti permanent delegation at the UN headquarters in New York, Ali Al-Yahya said that a recent report on the demographic of UN employees lacked representation from Kuwaiti youth.
The diplomat affirmed that Kuwait's youth were eager to represent their country in any capacity at the UN.
Al-Yahya reflected Kuwait's strong commitment to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres's efforts for reforms at the international organization.
In regards to his country's efforts to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030), the Kuwaiti diplomat said that his country fully supports this noble endeavor aimed creating a better future for the world. (end) asf.gta
