Kuwait's MoI registers 60 traffic law violations in one day

KUWAIT, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Interior said it registered 60 violations on Sunday, ranging from fines to car tow, on the first day of enforcing Articles 169 and 207 of the Traffic Law.
The MoI, in a statement, underlined it was determined to enforce Article 169, which restricted parking on street pedestrian crossing or pavements.
It explained that Article 207 stipulated towing a vehicle if it was parking in "No Parking" area, obstructing or endangering traffic.
The MoI said any vehicle being towed would be seized for two months maximum with a fine of KD 15 (USD 50).
The ministry added it was carrying out an awareness campaign to highlight importance of abiding by the Traffic Law in general. (end) oys.bs
