Brexit negotiations achieving "big progress" - PM May

LONDON, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- British Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday there was a "big progress" in Brexit negotiations with the European Union, when the EU leaders met last week.
May said she has "big confidence" that a futher progress would be achieved by December so the two sides would begin trade negotiations following the exit in 2019.
May, addressing the House of Commons, said her government tabled positive suggestions for the EU to address some the union's concerns.
She renewed commitment to protecting rights of European citizens living in Britain following official Brexit.
May said her government would now focus on rights of European and British citizens living in Europe. (end) mrn.bs
