KUWAIT, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah granted on Monday to a number of newly graduated Kuwaiti officers their ranks, after an Amiri Decree was issued to appoint them in the Kuwaiti Army.
The inauguration ceremony for the Kuwaiti officers, who graduated from the Egyptian Military Academy, started by reading the Amiri Decree and followed by granting the officers their ranks by Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled, the ministry's Moral Guidance and Public Relations Department said in a statement. The officers took the oath by the end of the ceremony.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister congratulated the new officers and urged them to keep their oath, sincerely serve their country and place its security and safekeeping on top of their priorities.
Sheikh Mohammad has thanked Egypt for taking in the Kuwaiti students and teaching them in the finest military schools available.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Defense Ministry Undersecretary Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Abdullah Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah and a number of high ranked officers at the Kuwaiti Army. (end) oys.mys
