France affirms readiness to help finding solution in Iraq

PARIS, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- France reiterated Friday its willingness to contribute in alleviating the ongoing political tension in Iraq and finding a comprehensive solution to it.
Paris has a close relationship with both authorities in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region, French foreign ministry said in a statement.
The statement called the Iraqi federal government to respect all legitimate rights of the Kurdish people.
It also urged the Kurdistan regional government to hold a constitutional dialogue with Baghdad.
Meanwhile, the French ministry pointed out its efforts at UNSC to secure an approval for an early resumption of Iraqi-Kurdish governments' talks to resolve the crisis and preserve Iraq's unity and security. (end) mjz.ma
