ROME, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- KUNA's Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Sabah paid a visit Sunday to the Kuwaiti state-run news agency's bureau in Rome. As he toured the facility in the heart of the Italian capital, where he examined day-to-day operations, KUNA's chief was warmly welcomed by Lino Santamaria, the director of a foreign association of journalists based in Rome.

He urged news agencies to keep abreast of the latest advancements in technology in efforts to provide higher quality services to newsreaders worldwide.
On a related note, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij and Director General of Italian News Agency (ANSA) Giuseppe Cerbone, at an Arab-European media forum, sealed a deal to ratchet up cooperation between the two news agencies. (end) mn.nam
