National Guard chief congratulates His Highness Amir on memory of UN honoring

KUWAIT, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Chief of the National Guard His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah sent a cable on Saturday to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, congratulating him on the third anniversary of being feted by the United Nations (UN).
In his cable, His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali said that His Highness the Amir being named by the UN as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait a "Humanitarian Center" was a testament to His Highness the Amir's profound humanitarian and philanthropic contributions.
He added that the moniker was something "that all Kuwaitis should be proud of since it cements Kuwait's position as a bastion of humanity." The National Guard chief also wished His Highness the Amir continued good health and wellbeing. (end) ays.nam
