Pharaonic tomb discovered in Luxor

CAIRO, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Archeological authorities have discovered a new Pharaonic tomb with much of its ornamentation and colored shapes still well preserved in southern Loxur.
Antiquities Minister Khaled Al-Anani said at a news conference that the ancient burial place dates back to the 18th family, containing remains of a goldsmith, named Amenemhat.
A collection of jewelries and miniature statues were found in the tomb.
Archeologists have also uncovered mummies dating back to the eras of the 20th and 21st families, the minister said. (end) rg.rk
