Arab authorities congratulate on UN honoring His Highness the Amir

KUWAIT, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Arab authorities have expressed congratulations to the State of Kuwait on the third anniversary of the UN proclamation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Humanitarian Leader and its naming of the State of Kuwait as Humanitarian Center.
Ramadan Tanboura, head of the Palestinian Al-Falah Charity, said in a statement that the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir is an international accomplishment by Kuwait and is a testimony to Kuwait's civilization.
He praised Kuwait's charitable aid to the Palestinian people, noting its accomplishments at the educational, health, cultural, social, sports and development levels.
Identical sentiments were expressed by Adel Al-Sagr, General Director of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining, who said in remarks to KUNA that the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir is an international recognition of his efforts for boosting solidarity among nations and humanitarian work.
He noted imminent role by the State of Kuwait for promoting humanitarian action and coordinating initiatives for alleviating plight of nations at wars or those suffering from poverty. (end) wib.rk
