Moscow cautions against war scenario in N. Korea row

MOSCOW, Sept 1 (KUNA) -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Friday warned of using force in dealing with the crisis of North Korea, saying that there could be unpredictable consequences.
He was quoted by Russian TV as addressing Russian students that war would be the worst scenario in responding to the crisis of North Korea.
The remarks came after North Korea announced earlier Tuesday that it had fired a ballistic missile from its west coast that flew over Japan before falling into the Pacific Ocean Earlier on Wednesday, Lavrov urged the US not to use force against North Korea and warned that it could have "unpredictable consequences".
On the diplomatic row between Moscow and Washington, the Russian foreign minister said Russia would respond to the US Administration's recent decision to shut down the Russian consulate in San Francisco. (end) as.tma.mt
