Envoy: Kuwaiti Embassy monitors arrest of citizen in Turkey

ANKARA, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador in Turkey Ghassan Al-Zawawi said Friday that the Kuwaiti Embassy was following up the arrest of Kuwaiti citizen Abdullah Al-Shatti in Turkey.
He said in a statement that the embassy communicated with the arrested citizen's family since he was caught in Ankara, and that the embassy's lawyer was checking relevant legal procedures.
The embassy in Ankara received several contacts from senior officials of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry on the developments of the case, according to the statement.
But, the ambassador urged mass media to ease out their tone due to "legal sensitivity" that could negatively affect the case. (end) rs.mt
