Ministry of youth offers aviation scholarship in coordination with local college

KUWAIT, Aug 23 (KUNA) -- Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, in coordination with the College of Aviation Technology, launched a scholarship program for those who are interested in learning aviation science.
"The ministry is keen to develop and educate youth in all fields. We had an agreement with the College of Aviation Technology to grand scholarships for those interested, "said Director at the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Abdullah Al-Adwani.
Sending young people to study abroad will enhance their knowledge and will contribute to the development of Kuwait, he added.
Applicants must be Kuwaiti citizens and have graduated recently from high school or have equivalent certificates, he revealed, adding last day of registration is August 29.
Director of Training and Academic Affairs at the College of Aviation Technology Saad Mishary said the college offered training courses to maintain aircrafts for a year.
The course enables trainees to receive a maintenance technician certificate, he revealed.
Graduates will have more chances to find jobs in aviation companies locally and internationally as well as oil sector, ministries of interiors and defense, telecommunication companies, civil and military aviation, as well as other bodies, Mishary added.
The college is accredited by the council of private universities of the Ministry of Higher Education and the General Administration of Aviation.
The College of Aviation Technology has made a wide development movement that makes it unique in Kuwait and Gulf region as it has modern teaching methods and a number of airplanes, jet engines and many mechanic and electronic workshops.
It works in coordination with the famous Scottish training center (LIST) that awards students certificates of recognized internationally. (end) ako.nhq
