BAGHDAD, Aug 22 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's Minister of Commerce and Investment Majed Al-Qasabi arrived in Iraq on Tuesday heading a large delegation of Saudi businessmen and government representatives.
According to an official Iraqi statement, the minister began his visit with a meeting with Iraq's Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi.
The two discussed the development of bilateral relations on the economic, commercial, agricultural and investment-related spectrums, particularly in the petrochemicals industry.
Al-Qasabi expressed Riyadh's keenness for economic openness and partnership and trade exchange in the benefit of both nations, according to the statement.
The visit comes after Saudi Arabia announced it was planning to allow land trade with Iraq once more after a 27-year halt. (end) ahh.sd
