Senior Arab officials deplore all forms of terrorism

CAIRO, Aug 22 (KUNA) -- Arab officials meeting in the Egyptian capital on Tuesday collectively condemned a spate of recent "terrorist attacks" in both Arab and Western nations.
In closing remarks, the officials denounced all "terrorist" acts irrespective of where they take place, saying the scourge is "not linked to any faith or origin." The officials added that it was imperative for all Arab institutions to work closely with a special committee dealing with the fight against terrorism, where a plan of action will be devised.
They pointed out that "these brutal crimes call for extra cooperation on the part of the international community to fight and destroy terrorism." Earlier, the senior Arab officials endorsed a Kuwaiti plan that entails programs and activities over a minimum two-year period that aim to buttress anti-terrorism efforts.
Meanwhile, the officials are due to meet again on October 24 and 25 at the Arab League's headquarters, as they attempt to ensure that anti-terrorism efforts, agreed upon at an Arab summit, come to fruition. (Pick up previous) mfm.nam
