Kuwaitis in Spain urged to be vigilant after Barcelona attack

(With SEC-SPAIN-ATTACK) MADRID, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to Spain urged his compatriots to be cautious about their safety and avoid crowded areas in the wake of the deadly van attack in the heart of Barcelona, northeast Spain, on Thursday.
Dr. Suleiman Al-Harbi called on the Kuwaiti tourists in the city to abide by the safety regulations issued by the local authorities.
"Based on the instructions of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy sent a diplomat to Barcelona to make sure of the safety of the Kuwaiti nationals there," he said in statements to KUNA.
"The diplomat is also tasked with offering help to any Kuwaitis if need be, following up the developments of the incident and arranging with the competent local authorities in this regard," he noted.
