MADRID, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- At least one person killed and 32 injured when man driving a van rammed it into crowds of people on a fashionable street in the heart of Barcelona, Spanish news agency (EFE) reported on Thursday.
At least 10 of the injured are in serious condition, said Joaquin Forn, the head of Catalonia's regional department of the interior, adding that the numbers were preliminary.
Spain's state television quoting police as saying they are on the look for two suspects, one of whom was the driver of the van, who managed to flee on foot and barricaded himself inside a cafe, and currently police are negotiating his surrender.
Later, Spanish state television added that an arrest was made to a Moroccan national, named Driss Oukabir, accused of driving the white van used in the attack. (Pickup previous)
