KUWAIT, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Wednesday led a wave of sad-stricken citizens and expatriates for final greetings for the deceased renowned actor Abdulhussein Abdulredha whose coffin was flown to the country earlier today.
Scores of nationals and residents showed up at the cemetery coming from all corners of the country, joined by deep feelings for the deceased.
Coffin of the legendary Kuwaiti actor arrived in Kuwait today. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had ordered that the coffin be brought back home abroad an Amiri aircraft from London Abdulredha passed away at age 78 in London last Friday after suffering from a health setback.
The funeral drew a large crowd of people due to the popularity of the actor who had a prolific career spanning decades.

Speaking to reporters at the funeral, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan, said Abdulredha was an example to follow with respect of work devotion and national untiy.
He represented all segments of the Kuwaiti society, indicating that many Kuwaiti actors followed his steps.
Presence of this large crowd of mourners reflects people's affection toward him, the minister added, alluding to thousands of people who gathered at the cemetery to bid Abdulredha's last good-bye. (end) sss.rk
