Saudi Arabia denies requesting mediation with Iran

JEDDAH, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia did not request mediation in any way with Iran, A Saudi official source confirmed on Wednesday.
According to a statement by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the source said that what have been circulated in this regard was completely unfounded.
He reiterated the Kingdom's firm stance in rejecting any rapprochement in any way with the Iranian regime, which supports "terrorism, extremism, and interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries in the region." He called upon all countries to work together to deter the Iranian regime from "its aggressive actions" and forcing Tehran to "comply with the international law and United Nations resolutions."
