Kuwait chief lawmaker condemns Burkina Faso attack

KUWAIT, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Tuesday extended his condolences and sorrow over the victims of a terrorist attack on a restaurant in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, which killed and wounded several people.
In a cable sent to his counterpart, National Assembly President Salif Diallo, Al-Ghanim fiercely condemned the attack and terrorist acts that target the lives of innocents or violate the security and stability of nations and the safety of their citizens.
Kuwait stands in complete solidarity with Burkina Faso, and the steps it is taking to ensure its security and stability, he added.
The Kuwaiti chief lawmaker went on to urge the importance of the unified regional and international action to defeat terrorism. (end) nma.sd
