Minister Al-Roudhan boasts of junior shooters

KUWAIT, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan on Tuesday expressed pride that Kuwaiti junior shooters ranked second in the Kazakhstan-hosted Asian tournament.
Minister Al-Roudhan, in a statement after receiving the Kuwaiti team at Kuwait International Airport, vowed that he would spare no effort to back the Kuwaiti shooting teams.
He called for organizing special programs and training camps to sharpen the young athletes' skills.
The minister relayed greetings by the supreme political leadership to the champions, affirming the leaders' determination to ensure that Kuwait be well represented at international events.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Kuwaiti and Arab shooting federations pledged in a statement to do more for making additional accomplishments and victories.
Champions Sara Al-Hawal and Talal Al-Tarqi said they were elated for planned representation of Kuwait at the international shooting tournament, due in Moscow, in the end of August.
The Kuwaiti team, in the trap category, won the gold medal, along with two silver ones. It also won the gold medal at team's level. The team also won the gold ones in the trap mix and skeet competitions. (end) fr.rk
