EU's Mogherini to visit Tehran Aug 5

BRUSSELS, July 29 (KUNA) -- European Union (EU)'s High Representative Federica Mogherini will travel to Tehran on Saturday August 5, in her capacity as Chair of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA, (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Hassan Rouhani.
Mogherini's office in a statement Saturday said that she would hold bilateral meetings with Iranian dignitaries to review the state of implementation of the nuclear deal and to discuss issues of bilateral and regional relevance.
According to media reports, Rouhani's inauguration as the 12th President of Iran, will be held at the parliament on August 5, to mark the commencement of Rouhani's second four-year term. He overwhelmingly won the presidential election on May 19, winning 57% of the vote. (end) nk.msa
