New Delhi, July 27 (KUNA) -- Indian defense authorities said on Thursday that three militants were gunned down by the Indian forces on the Line of Control in Bandipora district in north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Three terrorists have been killed by the Army on the Line of Control in Gurez sector where an infiltration bid by the terrorists was foiled today (Thursday)" The Press Trust of India quoted Indian Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia as saying.
New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding the armed groups in Kashmir. Islamabad denies the claims and insists Kashmir people are defending their freedom. (end)
