Bahrain Shura Council deplores Israel's Al-Aqsa closure

MANAMA, July 22 (KUNA) -- The Bahraini Shura Council Saturday vehemently condemned Israel's closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, violation of Palestinian holy sites and killing of Palestinians.
The council, in a press statement carried by Bahrani News Agency (BNA), voiced deep concerns over the blatant Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque and continuous assaults on the Palestinian people.
It also denounced Israeli provocative encroachments on Al-Aqsa Mosque, in breach of international covenants that guarantee the right to worship.
Therefore, the Bahraini council called on Arab and Muslim countries and governments to live up to their due responsibilities to defend Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque and confront the Israeli policy of Judaization of Jerusalem.
It also urged the Palestinian people to join ranks and consolidate national unity so as to be able to stand against Israel's continuous crimes. (end) hmd.mt
