PKK attack injures three soldiers in SE Turkey

ISTANBUL, July 4 (KUNA) -- Three soldiers were injured in an attack by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in southeast Turkey on Tuesday, security sources said.
The soldiers were wounded by PKK rocket-propelled grenades in Cukurca, a mountainous area near the Iraqi border, Hakkari, according to the Anadolu news agency.
They were hurried to the Hakkari State Hospital, it added.
Elsewhere, a security official said a PKK militant was killed in clashes with security forces in Tunceli Province.
The Turkish security forces have been targeting PKK militants in south and southeast of the country as well as in northern Iraq in retaliation for attacks the group carried out against Turkish civilians and security personnel. (end) ta.msa
