NATO F-16 jet attempts approaching Russian DM plane

MOSCOW, June 21 (KUNA) -- Russia announced on Wednesday that a NATO F-16 fighter jet got intercepted by the Russian Air force, while trying to approach the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu's plane, which was over neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
The Russian plane was on its way to the westernmost Russian city of Kaliningrad, when a Russian Su-27 fighter aircraft intercepted the F-16 and drove it away from the Russian plane, the Russia's state RIA Novosti news agency said.
While one NATO aircraft tried to approach the Russian airplane, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet got in its way and tilted its wings, apparently showing its arms. The F-16 then flew away, it added. (end) as.mys
