Belgian police kill person, situation under control in Brussels stn - police

BRUSSELS, June 20 (KUNA) -- Belgian police forces killed a person at Brussels Central Station, a police spokesman said, while an explosion occured around that person.
"There has been an explosion around a person. This person was neutralized by the soldiers present at the place," the spokesman was quoted by local media as saying.
He added that a large number of police force was present "and everything is under control," he added.
The Belgian media earlier reported that police shot dead a man while an explosion rocked the station, forcing interruption of all train traffic and suspesion of metro services as well as evacuation of the Brussels-Central Station.
The Brussels Central station is one of three main railways stations in the Belgian capital. It also has metro services. The station lies close from the tourist landmark Grand Place. (pickup earlier) nk.bs
