British police name two London attackers

LONDON, June 5 (KUNA) -- The British police on Monday named two of the perpetrators of the Saturday night's terror attack in London, as Khuram Butt, 27, and Rachid Redouane, 30.
Scotland Yard said Butt, from Barking, east London, was known to police and MI5 but there was no intelligence to suggest an attack. It added that Redouane, was also from Barking.
Butt was a British citizen born in Pakistan, while Redouane claimed to be Moroccan-Libyan, the Met Police noted.
Investigations are still under way to identify the third attacker.
The three were shot dead by the police after driving into pedestrians on London Bridge and stabbing people in Borough Market. Officers searched two addresses in east London Monday morning.
Police are still interrogating 11 people who were arrested in Barking on Sunday following raids at a flat, believed to be the home of one of the attackers. A 55-year-old man has since been released without charge. (pickup previous) kd.msa
