Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf during his reception of Kuwait's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ahmad Al-Jeeran
KUWAIT, May 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is a pioneer in supporting Afghanistan in various fields in all international arenas, Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said Thursday.
His remarks came during his reception of Kuwait's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ahmad Al-Jeeran, who presented his credentials as a non-resident Ambassador to Afghanistan.
According to an embassy statement, President Ghani said that the State of Kuwait has contributed to the coherence and stability of the Afghan society. He also lauded the remarkable role of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) in supporting many projects in Afghanistan.
In this vein, Ambassador Al-Jeeran stressed the importance of combating terrorism and radicalism by enhancing cooperation with the intentional community and organizations.
Bilateral relations and means to boost them in various domains were discussed, as the diplomat emphasized Kuwait's support to Afghanistan in encountering political and economic challenges. (end)
