QNA website hacked, alleged remarks by Qatari Amir fabricated - Official

DOHA, May 23 (KUNA) -- Unknown hackers have penetrated the website of Qatar News Agency (QNA), said director of the government liaison office on Tuesday night.
The hackers fabricated a statement and attributed it to Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which is totally untrue, Sheikh Saif bin Ahmad Al Thani affirmed in a statement carried by QNA.
The law-enforcement agencies in Qatar are investigating the issue in a bid to identify the hackers and bring them to book, he added. (end) nnd.gb
