Terror threat level remains unchanged in Belgium

BRUSSELS, May 23 (KUNA) -- Belgium's Interior Minister Jan Jambon said Tuesday that after the Manchester attack, the terror threat remains at level three out of the highest level of four in the country.
Terrorists are concentrating more on soft targets, Jambon explained, like concerts or places where many people come together.
Jambon said he does not think British security measures have failed but added that it's very hard to be everywhere and to anticipate on everything, according to local press reports.
"But one can never exclude any terrorist attack for one hundred percent," he added.
Meanwhile, over 2000 policemen will be deployed in Belgium on Wednesday and Thursday for the security of the NATO summit. US President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in the Belgian capital on Wednesday evening to participate in the NATO summit on Thursday. (end) nk.mt
