VIENNA, May 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Justice Dr. Faleh Al-Azab met with his Columbian counterpart Enrique Gil Botero on Tuesday to examine strategies to deepen cooperation between both nations on legal and judicial affairs.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of a session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), Al-Azab said that his rendezvous with the Columbian Minister of Justice provided an opportunity to exchange legal facts and information.
Moreover, the Kuwaiti Minister of Justice welcomed the prospect of closer legal ties with the Latin American nation, saying he invited Gil Botero to visit Kuwait to keep bilateral ties progressing.
Al-Azab is heading a Kuwaiti delegation to the 26th session of the CCPCJ, which kicked off on Monday.
On a related note, Kuwait will organize an event on Thursday at UN headquarters to showcase the country's efforts to fight terrorism.
The CCPCJ acts as the principal policymaking body of the UN in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. (end) amk.nam
